Cabinet approves the formation of National Recruitment Agency for conducting the Common Eligibility Test (CET ).Cabinet approves formation of National Recruitment Agency (NRA)to bring transformative improvement in the recruitment process for Central Government jobs.
NRA : A multi-agency body to merge the first level examination of Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), and Banking Personnel Selection IBPS.
CET: Common eligibility Test CET for SSC, RRB and IBPS will be conducted for the screening of candidates at first level. A Computer Based Online common Elegiblity Test for the candidates graduating, Higher Secondary 12th and Matriculation 10th .
CET in every district: easy to reach rural area, young and women candidates. Government's focus on accessing examination centers in aspirational districts.
The CET score will be valid for 3 years. There will be no limit on the number of opportunities:
The result obtained by the candidate in the CET will be valid for a period of 3 years from the date of declaration of results. The highest score among the marks available will be considered as the current score of the candidate. Common eligibility Test will be subject to the upper age limit of Candidates attending CET .There will be no limit on the number of opportunities.
Scores Access to Multiple Recruitment Agencies:
Initially, the marks will be used by the three major recruitment agencies and then it is expected at certain intervals that other requirements of the central government will adopt it, in addition to other public and private sector agencies will be allowed to do so if they wish they can adopt any score in such a period, it can be shared with the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings and other Indian agencies in the private sector, thereby saving the cost and time spent on recruiting such organizations will help.
